A man is seriously injured after spending a night trapped in his car following a crash over a bank near Dannevirke.
The man was discovered inside his car around 5.50am on Maunga Rd, Ormondville, a central ambulance spokesman said.
It is believed he lay trapped inside the vehicle all night, until a passing motorist discovered the crash scene this morning.
He had serious injuries, the St John Ambulance spokesman said.Emergency services were in the process of cutting him out of the car, before flying him to Palmerston North Hospital.
