A man was shot with a rifle last night in Tauranga.
Police are appealing for information about the shooting, which happened at about 6.30pm.
The 22-year-old arrived at Tauranga Hospital at approximately and police say he had a gunshot wound from a .22 calibre rifle.
His injuries are not considered life-threatening.
Police are seeking witnesses or any further information relating to the shooting.
They said inquiries into the circumstances of the incident are continuing and no further information was available.
