Hawke's Bay police are investigating the gang-related shooting of a man in Wairoa overnight.
The man was taken to Wairoa Hospital at 3.30am after he was shot while standing outside the Mongrel Mob headquarters.
Detective Senior Sergeant Craig Scott said police were speaking to people from Black Power and the Mongrel Mob to establish the "chain of events".
The man, whose injuries were not life-threatening, had been transferred to Hawke's Bay Hospital.
Police are investigating the incident and no charges have yet been laid.
