A 70-year-old man was seriously injured when he was struck by a motorcycle in a hit-and-run incident in Warkworth this afternoon.
Police received a number of calls after the man and a teenage boy were struck on State Highway 1 near the Warkworth Showgrounds about 1.20pm, Inspector Kerry Watson of police northern communications said.
The man was taken to North Shore hospital with serious injuries, an ambulance spokesman said.
