A man has been flown to Waikato Hospital with suspected spinal and neck injuries after crashing a car near Kawhia this afternoon.
The 21-year-old Te Aroha man was flown by the Westpac Rescue Helicopter after rolling a soft-top car on a bend at the southern edge of Kawhia Harbour.
He had to be helped from the car by local St John Ambulance officers and fire rescue staff. The man was then stabilised and transferred to hospital for further treatment.
