Man seriously injured in bulldozer accident

A man has been flown to Nelson hospital with serious leg injuries after he was involved in a bulldozer accident at a logging site this morning.

The accident happened about 1.5km east of Picton Airfield.

The man, believed to be in his 50s, was treated at the scene by a paramedic before being flown by Summit Rescue Helicopter to Nelson Hospital.

A Summit spokesman was unsure whether the injured man was driving the bulldozer.
