KEY POINTS:
A man was seriously injured in a stabbing incident in Rotorua early this morning.
Inspector Karen Wilson said police went to a house in Western Heights following a report there had been a stabbing.
"Emergency services attended and a male has been transported to Rotorua Hospital with serious injuries," she said.
Police were investigating the incident and interviewing witnesses.
