A man was flown to hospital with serious injuries tonight after he fell off his motor cross bike in the Bay of Plenty.
The 26-year-old local fell while riding on private property in the settlement of Galatea near Whakatane.
The Rotorua-based BayTrust Rescue helicopter attended the incident at 7pm.
The man sustained serious injuries from the fall and was stabilised by paramedics on board the helicopter. He was then flown to Rotorua Hospital for further treatment.
