A man is in a critical condition in hospital after sustaining serious injuries working in an Auckland manufacturing facility.
The man, aged in his 40s, was injured while operating packaging machinery at a Lion Nathan facility in East Tamaki.
Reports suggest he may have become stuck in a metal plate machine at the site on Ormiston Rd.
An ambulance spokesman said the man had been freed from the machine when they arrived, but was unconscious and had difficulty breathing, Newstalk ZB reports.
The man is now in a critical but stable condition in Middlemore Hospital, a spokesman confirmed.
