The owners of a 20ha farm in rural South Auckland where a man crashed into a paddock this morning are hoping for the driver's speedy recovery.
A man was hospitalised with serious injuries after his car rolled into a paddock on Glenbrook Rd at Kingseat about 7.30am.
The car landed on its roof in the paddock and the driver was cut out and taken to Middlemore Hospital by the Westpac Rescue Helicopter. He is in a stable condition.
Property owner Anne Phillips said her family was away at the time of the crash.
Friends who were looking after the property said the first they heard about it was when the Fire Service asked for some horses in a nearby paddock to be moved, Ms Phillips said.
