A man was winched out of a Central Otago forest this morning with head injuries after a bulldozer rolled.
The man received moderate to serious head injuries in the incident in the Wenita Forest Products forestry block, near Milton, just before 8am, a St John Ambulance spokeswoman said.
The Lions Trust rescue helicopter lifted the man out of the forest and took him to Dunedin Hospital for treatment.
The man's age and other details were unavailable.
Labour Department Dunedin service manager Mark Murray confirmed health and safety officers were investigating the incident.
