KEY POINTS:
A 26-year-old man suffered burns to his neck and chest while cleaning a vat on a dairy farm at Ashley Clinton, west of Waipukurau, this morning.
A Lowe Corporation Rescue Helicopter spokesman said the man had been using very hot water which had splashed on to him .
He was flown to Hawke's Bay Hospital.
His condition was not known.
