A man fled with an undisclosed amount of money after robbing a Hamilton finance company today.
The robbery happened about 1.30pm at the NZ Credit Union in Victoria Street.
Police said a man, aged in his 30s or 40s, entered the premises and handed a note to the teller demanding money.
The man left with an undisclosed sum of money and headed north along Victoria Street.
He was described as dark skinned, of medium to solid build, and was wearing a black baseball cap, navy-coloured hooded sweatshirt, with distinctive pattern, and dark or grey coloured baggy trousers.
Police are asking for public help in identifying the man and any sightings of him before or after the incident in the vicinity of the NZ Credit Union, at the north end of Victoria Street.
