A 19-year-old man was robbed at gunpoint at his home in central Christchurch this morning.

Detective Sergeant Mark Reid said two Maori men, one armed with a semi automatic style pistol, entered the flat on Buccleugh St about 9.30am.

They stole property, including a TV and stereo system,
and left in a 1989 Toyota Corona.

"The victim was shaken, but not hurt as a result of this home invasion."

The car was found abandoned about 10am in a carpark next to Supervalue, on Stanmore Rd, Mr Reid said.

Police wanted to speak to anyone who saw the vehicle or the offenders in the area after the robbery.
