A 60-year-old Onehunga man is recovering in Auckland Hospital after spending two nights trapped under trees in bush west of Auckland.
His absence was noticed after rangers at Whatipu, near Manukau Heads, saw his car had been unattended for two days.
He was found by the rangers about midday yesterday, and was airlifted to Auckland Hospital about 3pm.
He is believed to be suffering possible broken bones and abrasions, as well as dehydration and mild hypothermia.
