A 30-year-old Hong Kong man has appeared in the Auckland District Court after an alleged abduction of a woman at an Auckland motel on Sunday afternoon.
The man, who lives in the Auckland suburb of Mt Wellington, was charged with abduction, attempted rape, aggravated injury, threatening to kill, and theft.
He was remanded without plea until today so a Cantonese interpreter could be arranged.
