A 78-year-old Westport man has been further remanded on bail to appear in the Greymouth District Court in June on charges related to historic sex offending.
Arthur Thomas Craddock appeared in the Christchurch District Court before Judge Raoul Neave on Friday via audiovisual link to the Greymouth District Court.
The alleged offending occurred while Craddock was involved with the Salvation Army Corps in Westport.
He faces nine charges related to four separate complainants aged 12-14 at the time of the incidents, alleged to have occurred in the 1960s and 1970s. Craddock was arrested in July last year.
Judge Neave declined an application for the case to be heard in the Christchurch District Court and remanded Craddock on continued bail to appear in Greymouth on June 18 for a pre-trial hearing.
