A 47 year-old Masterton man who appeared in Masterton District Court yesterday on three sexual offence charges, including incest, was remanded on bail and directed to stay away from two complainants and to reside at a specific address in the town.
The man, who has been given interim-name suppression, was charged on Wednesday in relation to offences which are alleged to have occurred between January 2005 until April 2009.
He has been charged with indecently assaulting a female over 16 on two separate occasions in Masterton and Carterton between January 1, 2005 and December 1, 2006.
He has also been charged with committing incest between January 1, 2009, and April 1, 2009, in Masterton. Court registrar Nelda Day imposed an interim seven day name-suppression order which is the maximum period she could impose.
She subsequently adjourned the case until Thursday, April 11.
