A man is being questioned by police after a five-year-old girl was abducted in Tauranga this morning.
Police said the girl was walking to school with her seven-year-old brother in suburban Mangatapu about 9am when she was approached by a man and taken away.
She was found safe in an isolated rural area of the Bay of Plenty a few hours later.
National Radio said a man, understood to be unknown to the girl, was being questioned.
