Man pulled from harbour

A yacht rescued a man in Waitemata Harbour last night who was trying to swim from Okahu Bay to North Head in Devonport.

The crew of the yacht R&B feared the 39-year-old might cross the path of a Waiheke-bound ferry and pulled him from the water about 8.45pm. He was taken to Auckland City Hospital with moderate injuries and mild hypothermia.
