A man accused of murdering another man at a Palmerston North flat last year has pleaded guilty.
James Mills has admitted the charge in the High Court in Palmerston North.
The 29-year-old shot Jamie Faulkner, after the pair were seen to be having an argument at a Heretaunga Street flat, in September. Mr Faulkner was found dead outside the flat, with a single gunshot wound.
The firearm believed to have been used to kill Mr Faulkner was found by his side.
Defence Lawyer Fergus Stead said there was a struggle between the men before the weapon discharged.
A dispute of facts hearing will be decided at a callover in June.
