KEY POINTS:
A man was hospitalised in Hastings today with back injuries after being pinned by a forklift.
It appeared the 36-year-old was inspecting the load on a truck when the forklift rolled into him from behind with its forks raised, police said.
He was struck in the lower back and suffered moderate injuries.
The Labour Department was being notified.
