A man is on the run in Wellington tonight after committing a sex attack.
Police are looking for the man after he attacked a female while she was walking in Brougham St, Mount Victoria, around 6pm.
The victim is being interviewed by police after the attacker apparently approached her with a hood over his head.
"He grabbed her and at the same time he grabbed her he put his hand up her skirt, and then quite soon after ran away," police Senior Sergeant Simon King said.
"At this stage we haven't located him, but we're speaking to the victim to see what we can establish from her.
