Waikato police are hunting a man for breaching bail and burglary after discovering an alleged methamphetamine lab yesterday.
Police found the lab, along with cannabis, when they visited a property in Herschel St, Ngaruawahia looking for the man yesterday.
They are seeking Lindsey John Rogers, a 32-year-old who was meant to be living at the house.
"While at the property a small amount of cannabis was located and a search of the split level home resulted in the discovery of a quantity of chemicals and other products," Detective Sergeant Robert Isaac of the Hamilton burglary squad said.
"The house and surrounding area was cordoned off to allow an Auckland based clandestine laboratory team to come down and carry out a forensic examination.
"That examination revealed sufficient grounds for us to believe a methamphetamine manufacturing operation had been operating at the house."
Rogers is described as a male Maori, of solid build and about 180cm tall. Anyone with information about him is asked to call police.
A 25-year-old woman who was at the address was arrested and charged with possession of cannabis.
