A man has sawn off his fingers in a farm accident near Napier.
The 34-year-old's fingers were accidentally sawn off while operating a skill saw at Puketitiri, a statement from the Lowe Corporation Rescue Helicopter said.
He was flown to Hawke's Bay Regional Hospital for further treatment.
A spokeswoman for the rescue helicopter did not know how many of the man's fingers had been severed.
He was initially flown to Hawke's Bay Regional Hospital but was transferred to Hutt Hospital for further treatment.
