Police investigating the suspicious disappearance of Grant Trevor Adams, well known in the criminal world as "Granite," believe he is a victim of foul play.
The 29-year-old was "more than likely dead" after allegedly ripping off criminals in a methamphetamine manufacturing operation, Detective Senior Sergeant Greg Turner told a press conference early this afternoon.
Adams was last seen in Tauranga on November 2, 2005. He was known to have links with gangs and other criminals in Auckland, the Bay of Plenty, Waikato and Hawkes Bay.
Tauranga police asks anyone with information to contact the Operation Granite Enquiry Team, on 07 577 4300, or '0800 speak up'.
