Police have named the 24-year-old man killed when he was thrown from the cab of a tractor that rolled north of Dunedin.
Waikouaiti man Christopher Thomas Murphy was found dead at at scene on a rural property near Waikouaiti shortly before 10.40am yesterday.
Acting Senior Sergeant Craig Dinnissen yesterday said the man was killed when the John Deere tractor and fertiliser trailer he was operating slid down a hill on farmland.
"Initial scene examination has indicated the tractor and trailer have rolled over and the driver has been thrown from the tractor cab," he said.
Senior Sergeant Ben Butterfield today said the death had been referred to the coroner.
