A 48-year-old man killed in a car crash yesterday has been named by police.
He was Adrian Winiata of Motueka.
The two-vehicle collision was on West Bank Road, about 12km south of Motueka, about 3pm, acting Senior Sergeant Ian Langridge said.
Mr Winiata died at the scene and a 34-year-old male passenger was treated for possible neck and head injuries by St John Ambulance paramedics before being flown to Nelson Hospital.
The 62-year-old driver of the other vehicle received minor injuries.
The serious crash unit was investigating.
