The forestry worker killed in an incident in Tararua District today has been named as 23-year-old Reece Joseph Reid.
The Whanganui man died when a tree fell on him about 7.15am in a remote forestry block south of Pongaroa, near Dannevirke, Senior Sergeant Dylan Earle said.
The Government's labour service is investigating the accident and the death had been referred to the coroner.
