KEY POINTS:
A man is dead after a fall at a building site in Christchurch.
Police southern communications centre spokesman Inspector Alan Weston said the man died at the Jellie Park aquatic centre in suburban Bryndwr after falling some 4 metres about 11am.
The aquatic centre was understood to be undergoing renovations.
Police and the Labour Department occupational safety and health unit were investigating.
Mr Weston said a report would be prepared for a coroner's inquest.
