Man killed in digger accident named

Police have named the Rotorua man killed after a logging accident on the Coromandel Peninsula yesterday morning.

He was 50-year-old Gregory Robert Male.

"It was a tragic accident involving a crushing," Senior Constable Callum McGillivray said.

The Department of Labour is investigating the accident which took place at a work site in Whenuakite, 45km from Thames.
