A man who died in a crash between a car and a truck near Christchurch last week has been named by police.
West Melton man Glenn Hugh Rockell, 71, died in the crash on State Highway 1 between Dawsons Rd and Weedons Ross Rd, south of Templeton, about 12.30pm on Monday last week.
Mr Rockell, the driver and sole occupant of the car, died at the scene. The truck driver was reported to be uninjured.
Police investigations into the crash are continuing.
The death has been referred to the coroner.
