A man has died in a single vehicle crash on SH54 near Feilding.
Initial indications suggest the vehicle left the road and ended up in a culvert, police said.
A member of the public witnessed the crash and immediately called emergency services. Police, the Fire Service and ambulance arrived at the scene about 5:30pm today.
First aid was administered to the single male occupant, aged in his early 50s, however he was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
The Serious Crash Unit has launched an investigation into the crash and is conducting a scene examination.
