KEY POINTS:
A man is dead after he was hit by a train on the Kapiti Coast overnight.
Inspector Ken Climo from the police central communications centre said the man, aged between 20 and 40, was struck at Raumati Beach, 3km west of Paraparaumu.
No further details were immediately available.
