A man has died after falling into machinery at an industrial plant in Silverdale, north of Auckland.
Police were called to the address in Foundry Rd at about 3.12pmafter the 40-year-old man fell into machinery at the site.
Despite first aid efforts and the attendance of ambulance staff, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police have secured the scene and the Labour Department is now investigating the incident.
While next of kin have been advised, police will not be releasing his details until all family members have been informed.
