Man killed after car hit fence, went down bank

A man was killed after a car hit a fence and went down a bank this morning.

Police said the accident happened in King Road, Inglewood.

"The vehicle left the road hit a fence and end up 10 metres down a bank," police said in a statement.

Police were told about the crash at 3.06am.

On arrival, they found a man had died.

No other people were in the car.

The Serious Crash Unit from New Plymouth was investigating the crash.
