A Whangarei man who offered to supply methamphetamine to an undercover police officer has been jailed.
John Jason Edwards was sentenced in the High Court at Whangarei yesterday to a total of 18 months imprisonment.
Edwards, a 51-year-old packhouse labourer from Onerahi, had earlier pleaded guilty to three charges. These were: offering to supply the class A drug methamphetamine, selling the class C drug cannabis, and offering to supply cannabis.
The court heard that an undercover police officer visited the home of Edwards who offered to sell him methamphetamine and sold him four cannabis tinnies for $80.
