A man has been injured in a quad bike accident on a rural property north of Auckland this evening.
An ambulance spokeswoman said the Westpac Rescue Helicopter had been dispatched to a rural location in Dairy Flat where an elderly man was injured as the result of a vehicle accident.
"He's had some sort of quake bike accident on a farm in the paddocks," she said.
The accident happened just before 5pm.
It is not clear how serious the man's injuries were. He is being flown to hospital for treatment.
