A man suffered suspected neck and head injuries after a diving accident near Napier yesterday.
The Lowe Corporation Rescue Helicopter said the 22-year-old man was injured at Tangoio Falls, about 22km north of Napier, about 3pm.
He was airlifted to Hawke's Bay Regional Hospital for further treatment.
Earlier, the rescue helicopter was called to Frasertown, in northern Hawkes Bay, after two dirt bikes collided on a farm track about 2pm.
A 13-year-old boy was flown to hospital with a serious foot injury, while a 20-year-old man was flown to hospital as a precautionary measure.
