A man has suffered multiple injuries after he was thrown 30 metres from his motocross bike in Northland.
The man, aged in his 30s, was treated by St John Ambulance staff at the scene in Pakaraka on Saturday afternoon.
He was then airlifted to Whangarei Hospital in a serious condition, having suffered multiple injuries, the Auckland Westpac Rescue Helicopter Trust said.
