A man has been injured after he was attacked by a cow this afternoon
The 50-year-old man was chased by a cow before falling down a three-metre bank, reported the Dominion Post.
He injured his ribs when he landed on a tree stump at the bottom of the bank in Whareama, north of Riversdale on the Wairarapa coast.
The Westpac rescue helicopter flew him to Wellington Hospital.
Life Flight crewman Logan Taylor told the Dominion Post the man was herding cows on his property when the accident happened.
