Man injured after gas bottle explodes

A Hamilton man has been taken to hospital after an explosion at a gas
cylinder company today.

Waikato Hospital spokeswoman Mary Anne Gill said the man was servicing an oxygen gas bottle when the explosion happened.

She said the company where the man works - Gas Pro - said it appears there was other gas in the bottle and it exploded.

Ms Gill said the man is in the hospital's emergency department.
