A man is in a serious condition after becoming trapped under a tractor in Kapiti.
A Fire Service shift manager said the tractor rolled onto the man's leg.
The man has been freed from where he was trapped under the tractor by State Highway 1 Te Horo, between Te Horo Beach Rd and Te Waka Rd.
A police spokeswoman said the man is in a serious condition.
She said police would be notifying Worksafe.
