Man in hospital after Taranaki stabbing

A man is in hospital with serious injuries after an stabbing in New Plymouth overnight.

The stabbing happened in a Baring Terrace house about 1.30am, Senior Sergeant Selwyn Wandsborough said.

A 35-year-old New Plymouth man will appear in the New Plymouth District Court today charged with assault.
