A man accused of exporting more than 20 "objectionable publications" has appeared in court.
The charges, brought by Customs, relate to more than 20 computer files that were exported from New Zealand, according to police charge sheets.
The man, who has name suppression, appeared in the Waitakere District Court and was remanded in custody without plea.
Seonaid Abernethy said her client had indicated he would plead guilty to all charges, but she needed more time to go through each individual charge with him.
His name suppression had lapsed but judge David Mather extended it until his next appearance in court. He indicated the man's name suppression was unlikely to be extended.
