A man has appeared in court today, following a police search of a home in Dunedin yesterday.
Police cordoned off a Mornington home and called in the Armed Offenders' Squad to assist with the execution of a search warrant yesterday afternoon.
Today, a 26-year-old man appeared in court charged with aggravated robbery, robbery and assault with a weapon.
The aggravated robbery charge was in relation to an incident at the Octagon, Dunedin, last week, where a person's cell phone and cigarettes were stolen, police said.
Police said they were not looking for anyone else at the address or in relation to the Octagon robbery.
