Man hurt in early morning brawl

Auckland police were called to Fort St area early this morning after a man was hit in the head in a fight.

Officers and ambulance staff were called to the area at 3.41am where a drunk man had sustained cuts to his head.

A police spokesman said the man was taken to hospital and was to be interviewed when he sobered up.
