A large tree has injured a man when it fell onto the footpath by central Auckland's St Matthew in the City church earlier this evening.
The three-storey-high tree was toppled onto Wellesley St by strong winds, striking a man who suffered minor cuts and abrasions.
Council workers are removing the tree.
