An elderly man who rolled a motorised bike while working on a Waikato farm was flown to hospital with moderate-to-serious injuries yesterday afternoon.
The Auckland Westpac Rescue Helicopter was called to the farm in Mercer about 4.15pm.
Paramedic Chris Deacon said the man, who is in his 70s, was doing some work on the property when the incident occurred.
The ambulance was on the scene first, and found the man unconscious, he said.
By the time the helicopter arrived, he was talking again and his family were around him.
