One person has been transported to hospital after an Invercargill house was engulfed by fire this evening.
Emergency services were called to the property on Glenalmond Crescent at 7.25pm, a Fire Service spokesman said.
Upon arrival, firefighters found the house burning fiercely and called for backup.
Three people had been inside the house but managed to make their own way out. One person was taken to hospital to be assessed.
Four fire crews, from Invercargill and Kingswell, attended.
